The team at holiday extras is really exciting and really extraordinary because there is a happy atmosphere towards the group. It feels really great as it helps towards my improvements. The team talk about football a lot and we are working as a team when things get tough. On the last day of my work experience, there was a BBQ day which many events were organised. This included “Human football table” in which you play football as if you were in a real football table, except that it’s for humans and its outside in the open. About half of the company have taken part in this big event. A BBQ was also involved in the day. Making sure that I was a great player, I managed to block out many shots that were fired against us. We got through to the final of the Human foos tournament. Even though the team performed well, we lost 6-3 to the opponents. We had so many penalties in the game, but we could not put them in to the back of the net to win the tournament. I, Lewis Featherbe, scored the winning penalty in the playoff after the first game to get this far. Even though we could not win, the team bonded together as a group to get this far. Through my time here, I learnt many skills and had fun, both essential in life. My employer, Nick Thompson, took care of me through this wonderful journey. Others in the team – Kelly, John, Sarah and Johnson – also put their effort into making the time really exciting. I would like to thank the team that I have worked with and for their support and just making the place feel like home.

  1. Great blogging Lewis. Here’s a link to the human table football video that was taken today (http://bit.ly/tablefootball). All the best, Nick
